HPCL along with its JV HMEL bag 3 coveted Awards at FIPI Oil & Gas Awards

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and its Joint Venture Hindustan-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) received three coveted awards from Hon’ble Minister of P&NG and Steel, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan during FIPI Annual Summit & Awards at New Delhi on 02nd December 2019. 

HPCL was presented with Company of the Year Award for Excellence in Human Resource Management. This award recognizes the contribution of company’s Human Resource Management in achieving excellence across the entire spectrum of HR management in the company. The awards were received by C&MD – HPCL, Sh. Mukesh Kumar Surana and Director HR- HPCL, Sh. Pushp Kumar Joshi along with senior officials.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his pleasure on the changing trends in the society as he recollected his recent visit to HPCL’s refinery at Vishakhapatnam where he witnessed more than 50 female engineers working on ground zero of Visakh Refinery expansion project.

HMEL was also presented with Oil and Gas Transportation company of the year and Refinery of the year award (Capacity more than 9 MMTPA) for excellence in production, community development and overall operations.

Shri Pradhan also said that energy sector can create immense positive impact on society by making energy more accessible, sustainable and affordable. He said that energy sector can become catalyst of social change by improving the lives of people. FIPI Oil and Gas Awards recognize the leaders, innovators and pioneers in the Oil and Gas Industry, with an objective to celebrate the industry's most outstanding achievements.

Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
