The event saw the presence of Mr. Sanjay Warke, Country Head, Toshiba India – DS Division and the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

Taking forward the legacy of being known for the creation of World’s First Cricket Series TV co-created with Sachin, which was launched last year, this year Toshiba launched the ‘WeAreSachin’ campaign to give fans a chance to participate with Sachin Tendulkar for yet another world record. The ‘WeAreSachin’ campaign, started in January 2014, called for pictures of fans from across the country on Facebook, which were then incorporated in the world’s largest photo mosaic of the cricketer. Five winners,SeemaJasani, KanchanNegi, Arpit Jain, ShradhanandTidakeand HardikParmar,  chosen through a lucky draw were also given a chance to meet the legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar in person.

The photo mosaic was adapted from apainting created by an ace painter, Viveek Sharma. Titled ‘Eye of the Tiger’, the painting draws parallel between theTiger and the legendary cricketer for his strength and valiant acts of courage, bravery and precision. It is the best metaphorical reference depicting Sachin’s fiery attitude when it comes to cricket. The painting also illustrates Sachin as akin to the ‘King of the Jungle’ and the ruler of the Earth. The original work by Viveek was also unveiled at the event by Sanjay Warke and Sachin Tendulkar.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjay Warke, Country Head, Toshiba India – DS Division, said, “In an endeavor to bring the game of cricket closer to its fans, last year Toshiba India had launched the World’s First Cricket Series TV which was co-created with Sachin Tendulkar. With the ‘WeAreSachin’ campaign, our aim is to offer all the cricket fans an opportunity of getting closer to the God of Cricket- Sachin.  By gifting him the world’s largest photo mosaic, we want to express our gratitude and thankfulness to Sachin for making us all so proud. This is our gesture on behalf of all his fans across the world, who share the same love and gratefulness for the legend.”

Delighted at the gesture, Mr. Sachin Tendulkar, commented, “I am extremely happy to get this opportunity to be so close to the fans who loved me throughout. I am thankful to each and every one who is a part of this wonderful photo mosaic for making me feel so special. I am proud to be associated with Toshiba who are the global leaders in innovation and technology and pioneers in converging technology with cricket.”

Understanding the pulse of the cricket crazy nation, Toshiba India had launched the World’s First Cricket

Series TV co-created with the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, in September 2013. The Cricket Mode technology helps elevate sensory & viewing pleasure with the unmatched picture quality that produces life like sharp images with reduced motion blur and a powerful yet distortion free stadium like sound. The richer colours, sharper details and crisper images help enhance the green of cricket field, the cracks on the cricket pitch & the fast moving cricket ball.
