DGCA Launches Phase-1 services of e-GCA

The services were launched on the new DGCA website ( www.dgca.gov.in ). With this launch, the issue of Commercial Pilot License (CPL-A) with Flight Radio Telephony Operators License (FRTOL) and Instrument Rating has been automated. The applicants would now be able to fill up their flying details through DGCA portal, after getting themselves registered. by Shrutee K/DNS Mumbai: Greater Mumbai Police produced a strong all-round performance and registered a convincing 8-wicket win against Pune Police in the final of the Inter-District cricket tournament 2019 for the Martyr Ashok Kamte Memorial Trophy, organized by Superintendent of Police, Palghar and played at the Shivpark Cricket Ground, Nalasopara.  The Mumbai Police has successfully retained their title. Batting first Pune Police were dismissed for 136 runs in 19.5 overs. Middle order batsmen Pruthviraj Gaikwad (22 runs) and Amar Salve (19 runs) lifted the Pune Police innings. by Shrutee K/DNS Mumbai:  Abhiyanshu Jha produced a superb bowling spell picking up five wickets which helped Team Yellow Sapphire record a convincing 5-wicket victory against Team Bleed Blue in the final of the Rising Star Premier League Boys’ Under-14 Cricket Tournament, played at the Belapur Sports Association Cricket Ground, Navi Mumbai. After Team Blue elected to bat first, Yellow Sapphire’s left-arm spinner Abhiyanshu unsettled the rival bastmen with a teasing line and length. Team Blue innings folded for 118 runs in 30.1 overs with Abhiyanshu finishing with impressive bowling figures of 5 for 16 from 6.1 overs. Pratik Laharuka took  2 for 16 from four overs. Tel Aviv Becomes the First City in the World to Require all Shared Electric Scooters for Hire to be Equipped with License Plates and Helmets

by Shrutee K/DNS  The Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality has issued new regulations for shared electric scooter companies in order to keep pedestrians and riders safe. The new regulations include equipping electric scooters with helmets, installing license plates, recycling used batteries, lowering the speed of the scooters in certain areas, and preventing the usage of scooters in restricted areas. The regulations enforced by the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality are unprecedented and are meant to set an example for other municipalities around the world who are dealing with similar circumstances. In August 2019, the municipality embarked on a pilot to regulate companies that were renting out electric scooters in the city. These companies had been subjected to a number of conditions and restrictions in order to obtain a permit to operate in the city, which included ensuring availability throughout the city, limiting the maximum number of scooters per company to 2,500 units, allowing parking on
