by Shrutee K/DNS December 2016 : Sustainable Agro-commercial Finance Ltd (SAFL), perhaps the first non banking financial company (NBFC) exclusively focused on financing farmers and agriculture has extended loans to the tune of 368 crores directly to farmers in Maharashtra and Karnataka.The NBFC is now planning to enter Madhya Pradesh to help build the agricultural infrastructure for better future and sustainable livelihood in the state. SAFL has already built up an enviable record of extending its services to many of the neglected farmers and changing their life by sustainable development model especially in areas like Vidarbha and Marathwada in Maharashtra.
