Bank of Maharashtra Financial Inclusion services


Bank of Maharashtra has opened a Special Counter in its Head Office at “Lokmangal” Shivaji Nagar for opening of Savings Accounts under financial inclusion program for the poor. Special arrangements are made from 8 AM to 8 PM all days for opening of Savings accounts of Hawkers, Migrant Labours, Street Vendors and all who are finding difficulty to open accounts elsewhere for any reason under the relaxed KYC norms .
The bank is taking active role in Financial Inclusion in Urban/Metro areas also.
 
This counter was opened on 15/08/2012 since it is continued. Accounts are opened with biometric authentication for issuing linking the Adhaar card also.

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Every dabbawalla who doubles up as a courier boy, carries an Android phone loaded with the Papers N Parcels app to take orders for pick-up or delivery. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
