New Delhi, 24 Jan 2017: India’s leading online fashion e-tailer, Jabong is all set to kick off the second edition of the campus tournament through Jabong Turf War. 16 colleges in Delhi-NCR such as Amity, Sharda University, Greater Noida Institute of Technology and so on, will compete in front of a 10, 000-strong youth audience at the G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management (GLBITM), Greater Noida, on 27 and 28 January, 2017. Apart from the Jabong Turf War trophy, the winning team will also receive a cash prize of Rs. 25k while the player of the tournament will receive Rs. 10k sponsored by Jabong
In this format, each team fields four outfield players and a goalkeeper in five-a-side football. With relatively smaller pitch, goalposts and a reduced duration, the game is much more fast-paced and action oriented, where every minute counts. The field is enclosed within a barrier or "cage" to prevent the ball from leaving the playing area and keep the game flowing.
Rahul Taneja, Chief Business Officer at Jabong says, “Turf War is the T20 of football. We started this initiative as part of Jabong’s commitment to promote the sporting culture and connect with the youth in India. After an amazing response in our first edition, we are now pumping up the adrenaline with pulsating action, hottest fashion, rocking music, bigger star cast and a lot of goodies to be won. I thank Hummel and all other partners who have helped us take this concept to such a grand scale this year.”

We also look for the underdogs whose soul, legacy and dreams are sometimes even bigger that the joy of winning itself. For us at hummel®, more than providing quality jerseys and equipment, it is about showing our belief in the pursuit of a victorious dream that every player, team and fan nurtures as fellow soulmates.
