A grand celebration & award night on the 31st of May will witness the best of ‘Indie’ music talent under one roof as Radio City Freedom Awards celebrates talent across all genres of ‘independent’ music. Entries are now open & Radio City invites all the independent artists to submit their compositions on www.planetradiocity.com/rcfa.
 
Radio City Freedom, the web radio stream on PlanetRadiocity.com is a dedicated channel that offers original Indie music to Indians across the globe. Radio City Freedom has only witnessed an upward trend in the listenership & has proved to be a devoted platform for all the indie artists. Taking a step further this year, ‘Radio City Freedom Awards (RCFA)’ will support and encourage fresh talent across diverse music genres. RCFA promotes Indie music which is the new sound of the new generation.
 
Radio City Freedom Awards invites entries from across the globe in 8 categories viz. Best Hip-Hop Rap Artist, Best Folk Fusion Artist, Best Pop Artist, Best Rock, Best Metal, Best Electronica Artist, Best Video, Best Album Art. Musicians all over the world can send in their entries from the 6th of April till the 5th of May. Aspirants can upload their entries on www.planetradiocity.com/rcfa or alternatively submit CDs of their compositions at any of the touch points across the 8 cities of Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Shortlisted entries will be judged by the esteemed panel of judges comprising of Luke Kenny, Midival Punditz, Atul Churamani, Yotam Agam & Nandini Srikar. The winners will be felicitated on the RCFA award night in Mumbai on the 31st of May. The event would be televised on UTV Bindaas.

Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
