Bank of Maharashtra conducted a programme for "Creating Awareness on Gender Discrimination for Women Employees" on 26.09.2013, under Mahabank Women Empowerment [Swashakti] at Lokmangal, Head Office, Pune specially for lady employees.

The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Renu Gavaskar, Chief Guest & Director, Eklavya who addressed the gathering. The speakers were Senior Inspector Shri. Bhanupratap Barge who spoke on "Self Protection for Women – Awareness of Law".  Shri. Prakash Bhatt, Management Consultant who spoke on "Issues of Women at Workplace – A Long Journey & Legislative Measures".  The programme was followed by an interactive session with the audience. It was very successful and very much appreciated by all our lady employees.Smt Mita Chakravarty,Member Swashakti anchored the programme.


Our Executive Director Shri R. Athmaram, presided over the programme and the General Managers attended the same.

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Every dabbawalla who doubles up as a courier boy, carries an Android phone loaded with the Papers N Parcels app to take orders for pick-up or delivery. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
