HP reaffirms its commitment to India with  made-for-India MFP innovation and new Managed Print Services program

New HP MFPs enable simple and more secured mobile printing

HP today underlined its commitment to India with the launch of a new affordable A3 multifunction printer (MFP) developed for Indian businesses – the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M435nw - and two new HP LaserJet Enterprise M800 series flow MFPs that come with near field communications (NFC) touch-to-print and wireless direct.

The new HP MFPs allow for simple and more secured mobile printing, while streamlining customers’ digital and paper processes and increasing business productivity.

Emphasizing India’s importance for HP worldwide, Pradeep Jotwani, Senior Vice President, LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions at HP said, “India remains a strategically important market for HP and we are committed to deliver innovation that is made for India to address the needs of customers.”

HP also launched a new Managed Print Specialist Resell program – a partner Managed Print Services (MPS) program that allows Indian SMB and Enterprise customers to access HP’s latest MFP innovations and differentiated services including multi-vendor support. The program creates a secure and centrally managed print environment that streamlines workflows, optimizes document output and related business processes.

“Organizations need to adapt quickly to the changing landscape of information technology, which includes dealing with the vast amounts of data and processes created by a growing mobile workforce,” said Pradeep Jotwani, senior vice president, LaserJet and Enterprise Solutions, HP. “New innovations and an updated LaserJet printing portfolio help improve customers’ mobile print experience and transform the management of digital and print workflows for potentially greater business performance.”

MFP Innovation made for India
India has more than 143 million mobile Internet subscribers today.(1) To address the challenges and needs of the mobility megatrend, Indian businesses need printing and imaging solutions that are easy to use, increase efficiency and are secure.

The HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP 435 introduced today is a made-for-India innovation that brings affordable A3 printing to Indian SMBs or small workgroups, with innovative features like HP wireless direct for simpler mobile printing and a high print speed at 30 pages per minute.

HP expands ‘flow’ MFP line-up
HP also expanded its flow MFP portfolio today with the launch of HP LaserJet flow MFP M830z and Color flow MFP M880z – industry’s first NFC-enabled enterprise class MFPs featuring ‘Touch to print’ capabilities. These devices simplify the way customers can safely print, allowing them to do so from any NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet with just one touch. They also safeguard sensitive data with the HP High-Performance Secure Hard Disk and have on board Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The HP EveryPage technology avoids missing pages when scanning.

New business model
HP today also announced the next phase expansion of its all-new HP Managed Print Specialist Resell program. India is the first country in Asia to launch this program. The program is designed to precisely meet the unique demands of customers in India.

Increasingly, medium-sized organizations have been asking for an operational expenditure model instead of the capital expenditure to reduce their overall cash outflow on printing and have a managed IT Infrastructure that improves their business outcome.

The HP Partner MPS program offers customers a cost-per-page agreement, fleet optimization and solutions, coupled with differentiated services for maintenance and supplies replenishment. The HP Managed Print Specialist Resell program is designed to provide resellers with greater differentiation in the high-growth market of Managed Print Services (MPS) among India’s SMBs and enterprises.

The program in future will also include access to a cloud-based application – HP Express Decision Portal – that connects customers, partners and HP Support in a chain, providing partners with "proposal and quote generation for cost-per-page pricing, client invoicing and reporting, device monitoring, and account and contract management."
