KHADI FEST 2015 BY

As the Country is ready to  observe the largest  festival  of Maharashtra, Ganesh  Utsav, from 17th September 2015,  KVIC on its part is all set to  organize Khadi Fest 2015 this time,  a two months long exhibition cum-sale to mark the momentous annual event from 17th September  2015 to 10st November 2015.
          
The long awaited Khadi Fest 2015 was  inaugurated in the premises of KVIC, Vile Parle (west) by Smt. Poonam Mahajan, and MLA at 5 P.M. on 17th September 2015 and was  graced by Shri Parag Alwani, local MLA of this constituency.

Director (Marketing) KVIC informed that around 65 Khadi and Village Industries and PMEGP entrepreneurs are participating in this two months long exhibition. The exhibition will cover the most important festivals viz:
1)   Ganapati Khadi Fest (17th September 2015 – 4th October 2015)
2)   Navratri Khadi Fest ( 5th October 2015 – 25th October 2015)
3)    Dipawali Khadi Fest ( 26th October – 10th November 2015) 



The said exhibition will cater to all the festival buyers of Ganesh Utsav, Navratri and Deepawali  KVIC  is ready   with Khadi Fest with  a kaleidoscopic collection exclusive khadi designer wears, elegant Khadi silk sarees, herbal products, health food, attractive handmade paper, pottery, handicraft, wood craft, leather, aggarbatti, honey, herbal products, pickles, cultural heritage, craftsmanship  and extensive varieties of Kashmiri shawls — pashmina and shozini that showcase  value of India.

Other  handmade products like  bedcovers, sheets, cushions, curtains, tablemats, bags, furniture, mats, boxes, cabinets,  toys,  garden pots, terracotta decorative , brass and silverware, leather products,  cane, jute and coir items, carpets, rugs, durries etc. were  picked up hand to hand.


This exhibition organized every year is a marketing support to artisans, institutions and entrepreneurs engaged in production of Khadi & Village Industries products predominantly in rural areas.
