Billiards Professional Siddharth Parikh hit a triple century break of 362 points

Mumbai: Touching peak form again, Mumbai’s leading billiards professional Siddharth Parikh (handicap -650) hit a triple century break of 362 points to defeat Avenish Shah (-90) by a healthy margin of 250-49 points in the Group ‘A’ round-robin league (race to 250 points) match of the SPG-Park Club Billiards Tournament – 2015, which is being jointly organised by the Shivaji Park Gymkhana and Park Club. Parikh now has the record of the biggest break in the tournament.

Parikh also hit breaks of 171 and 61 points to completely demolish his less experience opponent. In his first game Parikh had created breaks of 133, 98, 95, 70 and 51 to win against Sanjiv Bijlani (handicap -90) by a 250-214 point margin.

In the Group ‘E’ league Ishpreet Chadha (-350) by scoring two major breaks of 83 and unfinished 134, managed to score a win by defeating Ragav Agrawal (-90) 250-90. Ishpreet in his first game had lost to Chandu Kansodaria. Chandu Kansodaria (-120) scored two out two wins by beating Raghav Agrawal (-90) 250-140(55) in his second game and can qualify for the next phase of the competition. Meanwhile, V. Subramanian (-400) also played a steady game to defeat Beat Ronnie Daruwalla (-110) 250-151. Subramanian showed his capacity to run big breaks by recording 139, 96, 86 and 79 breaks for his win.
