Volkswagen expands its network & Inaugurates new dealership in Goa

Goa, April 25, 2016: Volkswagen, Europe’s leading car manufacturer, today inaugurated its new dealership Volkswagen Goa. With Goa, Volkswagen India’s dealer network now stands at 120 showrooms across India.
With a large display area for cars, representing Volkswagen’s global brand standards, and highly trained efficient sales and after-sales staff,Volkswagen Goa is strategically located at La Campala Co-op Housing Society Ltd, Near Mums Kitchen, Campal, Panaji offering convenience of access to customers. The dealership is geared to provide a world-class experience to customers and host a state-of-the-art 20-bay workshop spread over a cumulative area of 19,092 sq. ft., which is equipped to undertake repair and maintenance work.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, said “With the opening of this dealership we mark our presence in Goa, which is an extremely important market for Volkswagen in this region. We look forward to provide our customers an enhanced experience and the best of Volkswagen’s products. With the support of our dealer partner, we are confident of a successful run in the region.” Additionally, the recently unveiled ‘made for India & made in India – Ameo’ was exclusively showcased for the customers in Goa. Volkswagen, a leading carmaker in Europe, sells its broad model range, from the up! to the Phaeton, in more than 150 countries worldwide. Volkswagen currently offers the Polo, Vento, Jetta and Beetle in India.

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Every dabbawalla who doubles up as a courier boy, carries an Android phone loaded with the Papers N Parcels app to take orders for pick-up or delivery. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
