Mumbai FC to conduct open trials for its I-League first team

For the first time ever, Mumbai FC will be conducting open trials for its first team.The selection trails will be conducted by Chief Coach , Santosh Kashyap. 
Speaking about the initiative Santosh Kashyap said – “We are proud to represent the yellow brigade of Mumbai and hope to be take Mumbai to the pinnacle of Indian football. This is a first time that an equal opportunity will be available to all talent to exhibit their skills and earn a shot at playing for our historic city in the I-League.It will be about the boys realizing their potential. We are constantly on the lookout for talented young players.”
Players who wish to be eligible for the trials should be minimum 20 years of age and should have played at least one season in a Elite Division team 
The details for the trials are as follows 
Venue – Cooperage Football Stadium
Friday – September 23rd 2016 (7.30 am reporting time)
Saturday – September 24th 2016 (3.30 pm reporting time)
Sunday – September 25th 2016 (3.30 pm reporting time)

Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
