Like every year, this year also THANAWALA family is spreading a social message through their gamesh pandal.

The theme for this year is "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao".

The theme shows Lord Ganesha supporting the cause by taking a girl child to school to educate her. The mouse - Ganesha's vehicle, also appreciating and supporting Girls education.
The backdrop talks about women empowerment. The women who made INDIA proud in this year's Rio Olympics are also displayed. Along with these, various slogans on "Save A Girl Child", "Educate Girl Child" and "Support Girl Child in every field" are displayed. Aartis also support the theme.

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
