Laxmikant-Pyarelal are easily the most prolific of Hindi film music directors with their career spanning almost four decades, during which they worked for around 500 films and composed 2500+ songs. Laxmikant composed the tunes while Pyarelal arranged and orchestrated them.

The duo of Shankar-Jaikishan has moulded the musical moods of masses in their countless hits from 1949 onwards beginning with Barsaat. They revolutionized Indian Music by the usage of Grand Orchestrization, Fast Rhythms, Chorus Singers and Folk Tunes - which touched the musical chords of listeners. 
    
SOME of the priceless vintage songs from the Golden Era of Bollywood Music will be presented live this SUNDAY - 18th September at the Dinanath Auditorium at Vile Parle by the Rafi Foundation Trust which has become  - a by-word in  providing quality musical shows for the discerning music lovers
of Mumbai.

Top Singers from the stage circuit will present a mix of soulful, entertaining and  immortal
numbers of composers Shankar -Jaikishan and Laxmikant - Pyarelal musical combine. 
Enchanting Numbers such as : Roshan tumhe se duniya (Parasmani), Dilruba dil pe tu yeh sitam kiyejaa (Dil tera diwana), Rasik Balama (Chori Chori), Mere Umar Ke Naujawanon and Darde dil darde jigar (Karz),Badi bewafaa hai yeh husnawale (Roop Tera Mastana), Jiya ho jiya ho kuch bol do ( Jab pyar kisi se hota hai) , Ilu Ilu Ilu Ilu from (Saudagar),Sajanwa Bairi ho gaye hamar  (Teesri Kasam ), Aa abh laut chale ( Jis desh mein ganga behti hai), Ke hum tum chori se (Dharti kahe pukar ke),  Rukhs se zara nakaab hatado (Mere Huzoor), Jhanak jhanak tore baajepayaliya (Mere Huzoor ) will b e presented LIVE by an array of SINGERS  & MUSICIANS from the Rafi Foundation Team

This Sunday, yesteryear melodies of Mohd Rafi, Kishor Kumar, Mukesh, Lata Mangeshkar and Manna Dey will be presented by popular stage singers - Alok Katdare, Mona Kamat, Hamid Khan, Govind Mishra, Veena Saigal, Ajit Morye and Sapna Das.
