Bank of Baroda organizes Blood Donation Camps across the country and collects 5700 units of blood

Blood Donation Camps organized on the eve of Bank’s 110th Foundation Day

Bank of Baroda has always believed in doing things differently and doing something good for the society. Continuing the same spirit, the Bank as a prelude to its 110th Foundation Day Celebrations, collected 5700 units of blood across Pan India. Blood Donation Camps were organized in the bank’s premises on 19th July, 2017 in collaboration with different hospitals and NGOs on pan India basis. A staggering 5700 people, employees and customers alike, came forward for this noble cause and generously donated blood.

The Bank expresses its gratitude to the customers and staff-members, who came forward to join the Bank’s Foundation Day Celebrations in a responsible manner.

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Every dabbawalla who doubles up as a courier boy, carries an Android phone loaded with the Papers N Parcels app to take orders for pick-up or delivery. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
