Mumbai, March 08, 2018 : Union Bank of India celebrated International Women’s Day with gaiety and fervor at a glittering function held at  Mumbai on 8th March 2018. On the occasion, Shri Rajkiran Rai G, Managing Director & CEO, Union Bank of India, extended warm welcome to Ms. Shikha Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of Axis Bank, who was the Chief Guest for the function.  A feeling of pride and sense of belongingness amongst the employees marked the event. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Union Bank of India felicitated Women Achievers viz. Ms. Rupinder Brar (IRS),  Ms. Mumtaz  Shaikh (Social Worker)

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Every dabbawalla who doubles up as a courier boy, carries an Android phone loaded with the Papers N Parcels app to take orders for pick-up or delivery. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
