Union Bank of India Observes Vigilance Awareness Week-2018

Mumbai : Union Bank of India is observing Vigilance Awareness Week from 29th October, 2018 to 3rd November, 2018 on the theme “Eradicate Corruption- Build a New India” envisaged by Central Vigilance Commission. Various programmes are scheduled by the Bank for creating awareness among youth, employees, their family members and the public at large, highlighting evils of corruption and its impact on the society.  During the week, ‘Integrity Pledge’ was taken by all employees of the Bank. At Central Office of Union Bank of India, Shri Rajkiran Rai G, Managing Director & CEO administered Integrity Pledge to all the Senior Executives of the Bank.

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Every dabbawalla who doubles up as a courier boy, carries an Android phone loaded with the Papers N Parcels app to take orders for pick-up or delivery. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
