Brett Lee & West Indies batsman Vivian Richards joins Sandeep Patil on ‘Taste Match’

Mumbai : Former Australian pacer Brett Lee spilled the beans on the paradoxical relationship of England and his home team, Australia in a conversation with Sandeep Patil on the show ‘Taste Match’, which airs on Living Foodz and &TV. He said ’We have a love-hate relationship, they love us and we hate them! But these things in a way make you grow and mature as a player, as well”, said Brett Lee, while talking about the old rivalry which dates back to ‘32.
During the candid conversation, Brett Lee revealed that while cricket is a significant aspect of his personality, he is also a passionate musician, a well-versed suit salesman and an actor!
West Indies batsman, Vivian Richards also joined the duo over a sumptuous meal. While discussing their experience in India, both Brett and Vivian uncovered their favourite Indian city: Goa! Proclaiming his love for India’s commercial capital Mumbai, Brett Lee said that he would love to own a house in the city, if it weren’t for the skyrocketing rents!
Vivian also took a walk down memory lane and reminiscenced about his inspiring journey. “Given our family's financial situation, I could not afford a cricket bat and so, I started playing cricket with a coconut tree’s bark! The struggles that I have gone through have motivated me to work harder and emerge successful. Those times have shaped me into the person and cricketer that I am today.”
He also spoke about how he couldn’t afford a cricket bat, owing to his family’s financial conditions. He said, The struggles that one has to go through, are what makes one desperate for the success they want to achieve. It has helped me become the cricketer I am today.”
