UK specialist to conduct Sports Business Management Course

Mumbai: Pyramid Sports is set to present its second edition of the Sports Business ManagementCourse, a course that introduces student and professional alike to the Sports Industry. The intensive one-week programme will be held in St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai between the 29th of November and 5th of December. With a balance of academic theory and practical knowledge, the course helps understand the Indian sports industry within a global context.

Dr. Alex Twitchen, a senior lecturer at the University of Chichester (UK), a UEFA “A” Licensed Coach, and an FA Coach Mentor will be conducting most of the course. He is also a member of the Coaching Standards Committee at SportsCoach UK. Dr. Alex, will be supported by the Guest Faculty which will include entrepreneurs and experts from the Indian sports industry, providing their outlook on the Indian sporting landscape.

The professional certificate course will also include internship facilitation for its students amongst companies within various niches of the industry. The course is recommended for students looking to find their place in the industry and attempting to understand the various opportunities that sport could provide for a viable career. Professionals who seek to broaden their job prospects or are looking to be involved in the industry can benefit greatly from the course as well. Another edition of the course will also be held in Bengaluru for the first time!

Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
