Therefore taking up the concept of importance of Hair donation at Tirupathi, Blood donation at Shirdi has been started. As a part of this concept a Blood Collection Center has been started at the Temple area at Shirdi. In order to facilitate the blood donors with an independent arrangement for blood donation and with a view that there should be a separate hall for blood collection, the center has been located at Temple area and near Lendibag. Shirdi has around 50,000 visitors every day. Even if 1 percent of the devotees donate blood, 500 bottles will be collected. Sansthan will be in touch with 25 Blood Banks in the State and these will collect the blood as required from here. Maharashtra State has around 6,000 Thalsemia patients who would benefit from these services. Dr. Suresh Haware further said that Sansthan will be making efforts to organize Mega Blood Donation Camps on a Global scale during the Shri Saibaba Samadhi Centenary Celebrations. On this occasion Principal Mr. Shivling Patni from Shirdi and Mr. Bharat Bagle,  a Sai devotee from Wardha donated blood.
