Industry’s Most Awaited Big Cine Expo 2019 sets out its 4th Edition in Mumbai

Mumbai : Cinema Industry’s most awaited exhibition Big Cine Expo rolls out the 4th Edition in NESCO, Mumbai. The expo was inaugurated by Film Maker & Choreographer Farah Khan, Alok Tandon, CEO, INOX LEISURE, Yusuf Galabhaiwala, Director, Galalite Screens and Raghavendra T, Director, Big Cine Expo. The two day event is World’s 2nd largest and Asia’s only Convention & Trade Show for the Single Screen, Multiplex, Malls & Theatrical Distribution Industry.
Day one’s inaugural ceremony was followed by panel discussions conducted by industry stalwarts like Kamal Gianchandani, Chief Executive Officer, PVR Pictures, Amit Praveen Sharma, Managing Director, Miraj Entertainment, Sachin R Shetty, Country Head, GDC Technology India & Senthil Kumar, Co-founder, Qube Cinema. Afternoon witnessed IMAX Big Cine Awards where industry players were awarded and felicitated for their contribution in the sector. Indian Film Maker Shri Subhash Ghai received the Special Award for his contribution to the industry. This was followed by a tour of India’s First 270 degree panoramic ScreenX at INOX, Malad.
Day two of the event witnessed leaders like Saurabh Verma, CMO Inox Leisure, Mohan Unmortar, CEO, Carnival Cinemas, Rahul Puri, Managing Director, Mukta A2 Cinemas, Rajeev Sharma, CEO, NY Cinemas making Big Cine Expo a successful interactive knowledge sharing platform that’s always known to be. The 2-day event consisted of product displays, product demos, product presentations, studio presentations, seminars, panel discussions, awards program, special events, film screenings, networking, B-2-B meetings, a trade show, and many more.
India emerging as one of the fastest growing economies and one of the largest markets in the landscape of Global Cinema, the entertainment sector plays an assertive role for the economy. Big Cine Expo brings opportunities for North American, European, and Asian manufacturers and suppliers to present their products and services as well as to share their industry knowledge.

Theatres play a vital role in not only entertaining the audiences but also in generating Box office collections for the movies that release every year. Earlier there were DVDs; now there are streaming platforms that have entered the market giving consumer more options and formats to experience a movie from.
