Mumbai: Mumbai's Ganeshotsav is
the biggest celebration in the city, as many people across India and the world
participate in it. Since it is one of the most prominent festivals of the
city, many people are on a pandal-hopping spree. In a view of
this, Wockhardt Hospital Mumbai Central has come up with a unique
initiative to provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
and Basic Life Support (BLS) training to 250 volunteers
from more than 50 leading Ganesh pandals in Mumbai. This will help pandals to
deal with medical emergencies during the 10-day festival
of Ganeshotsav.
Ganeshotsav which is celebrated with
much pomp and fervour in Mumbai is around the corner. Amidst all the
hustle and bustle, the chances of medical emergencies are high during
pandal-hopping. To help the pandals and devotees deal with health wows during Ganeshotsav, Wockhardt Hospital
Mumbai Central has up its sleeves to provide training of CPR and BLS
techniques which will be helpful for someone with cardiac arrest. These
techniques would play an effective role in saving the patient through
the golden hour, in case one suffers from cardiac arrest.

(Mahaganpati), Chinchpokli Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal’s (Chintamani), Fort cha
Raja Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal, Tejukai Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Trust, and Tardeo
Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal (Tardeocha Maharaja) will be prepared to handle medical
emergencies.
Dr. Rindani said,

activities like organizing blood donation camps, raising awareness regarding
various health ailments and distributing books to needy children. As a token of
