Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi Organized Free Jaipur Foot Camp

Shirdi: As a part of Shri Saibaba Samadhi Centenary Year
Celebrations, Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi has successfully organized 5
Service oriented camps during the last 5 months. Sansthan Chairman Dr. Suresh
Haware said that with the cooperation of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi and
Mahaveer Vikalang Sahayyata Samiti (Mahaveer Handicapped Assistance Committee),
Jaipur a FREE JAIPUR FOOT CAMP will be organized every year on the day of
Mahashivratri. He said that a decision to start this as a regular event will be
taken on behalf of the Committee.
Dr.
Haware was speaking at the FREE JAIPUR FOOT CAMP organized to provide various
implements to the handicapped and held at Shri Sainath Hospital, jointly by
Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust Shirdi, Mahaveer Handicapped Assistance Committee,
Jaipur and Lions Club International. The program was held as a part of the Shri
Saibaba Samadhi Centenary Celebrations. On this occasion Sansthan Vice Chairman
Chandrashekhar Kadam, Trustees S/Shri. Bhausaheb Wakchoure, Ad. Mohan Jaykar,
Bipindada Kolhe, Dr. Pratap Bhosle, Trustee and Chairman Municipal Council Mrs.
Yogitatai Shelke, Dy. Collector Dhananjay Nikam, Manoj Ghode Patil,
Dy. Executive Officer Dr. Sandeep Aher, Mr. Narayan Vyas from the Handicapped
Assistance Society, Rotary Club President Dr. Eknath Gondkar, Mr. Suresh Shinde
from Lions Club, medical Director Dr. Pradip Murambikar, Dr. Vijay Narode,
Medical Superintendent Dr. Maithili Pitambare, Medical Officers and staff as
well as the handicapped patients and their family members and others were
present in large numbers.
Speaking
on the occasion Dr. Haware said, “During the last 5 months of Shri Saibaba
Samadhi Centenary Year FIVE service camps were successfully organized by the
Sansthan. If we are deprived of an organ of the body another organ from the
body works in its place and hence we do not really become handicapped.
Therefore the handicapped should be appropriately called as DIVYANG. FREE
JAIPUR FOOT CAMP will be organized every year on the day of Mahashivratri. He
said that a decision to start this as a regular event will be taken on behalf
of the Committee. On this occasion he mentioned an example of young Arunima
Sinha who lost both her feet in Railway accident. But she overcame the fear and
went up to conquer Everest peak. If the mind does not get defeated we can do
anything. The implements you are receiving today is a weapon and you have to
fight the war of life with this weapon. He thanked the sponsors Jaipu Foot for
providing various types of implements such as hand and foot as well as
crutches, sticks, tricycles, walkers, wheelchairs and others. He also
congratulated Dr. Pitambare and other doctors for excellent organization of the
Camp. A
total of 495 handicapped patients had registered for the camp. Out of them 475
handicapped including 290 were provided with feet, 151 with sticks and walkers,
17 handicapped with wheelchairs, and another 17 handicapped with Tricycles. Mr.
Narayan Vyas and Technicians from Mahaveer Handicapped Assistance Committee
were felicitated on behalf of the Sansthan.
On
this occasion Sansthan Trustees S/Shri Bipindada Kolhe, Bhausaheb Wakchoure,
Dr. Pratap Bhosle, Shirdi Rotary Club President Dr. Eknath Gondkar and others
also spoke. The program was introduced by Dr. Maithili Pitambare and the same
was compared by Prof. Vikas Shivgaje.
