Community FCI enjoy successful first round

Mumbai, January 15: Hosts Community FCI had quite a successful first round, winning their boys under-10 and under-12 matches against Mumbai Strikers in the The WIFA - Mumbai City Development Centre Baby League, for football academies, which kicked off at the Prabodhan Thackeray Sports Complex, Vile Parle.
Mumbai Strikers had a great start when their Under-8 boys easily defeated FCI 6-1 with Saicharan Noone and Dweep Sabne, both scoring two goals each while Vrushank Jawale and Dhyan Sakrani netted one apiece. Community FC scored through Ishaan Kulkarni.
Later in the under-10 category, Community FCI got the better of Mumbai  Strikers by a narrow 3-2 margin. FCI scored through the efforts of Adhyayant Bhargava, Arnav Goyal and Dron Chavan, while Vighnesh Kolwankar and Ansh Shetty struck one each for Strikers .
Meanwhile, Community FCI fought hard to overcome Mumbai Strikers 5-4 in an exciting Under-12 contest. Tanishq Gada netted twice while Aryan Rahate, Eshan Rao and Anirudh Shinde contributed a goal apiece to secure FCI’s win. For Mumbai Strikers all the four goals were scored by Anish Joshi.
The next round of matches will be played next weekend
Results - Boys U-8:  Mumbai Strikers 6 (Saicharan Noone 2, Dweep Sabne 2, Vrushank Jawale, Dhyan Sakrani) beat Community FC 1 ( Ishaan Kulkarni).
Boys U-10: Community FCI 3 (Adhyayant Bhargava, Arnav Goyal, Dron Chavan) beat Mumbai   Strikers 2 (Vighnesh Kolwankar, Ansh Shetty) .
Boys U-12: Community FCI 5 (Tanishq Gada 2, Aryan Rahate, Eshan Rao, Anirudh Shinde) beat Mumbai Strikers (Anish Joshi 4).
