Wonder Cement Ltd. celebrates Mines Environment & Mineral Conservation Week
Chittorgarh, 11th January
2018: An inspection team appointed by
Indian Mines Bureau surveyed the Bhattkotari Lime Stone Mines of Wonder Cement
Ltd. located in Nimbaheda during the 28th Mines Environment and Mineral
Conservation Week under the aegis of Indian Mines Bureau (Ajmer).
Wonder Cement Limited organized a celebration program during the week to
promote awareness among people about mines environment and mineral conservation.
On the occasion AVP-Mines, M. K. Bokadia from Wonder Cement Ltd. greeted the
guests with a warm welcome. S. M. Joshi, President-Works, gave information
about mineral extraction process along with various measures taken by Wonder
Cement for monitoring and conservation of minerals and protection of mine
environment. Various activities like slogan writing, poster making, quiz competition,
song competition, environmental talks and oath ceremony were organized and a
short play based on environment were staged during the program followed by tree
plantation done in the mines premises.
General Manager -Mines, Ashok Acharya explained the ongoing conservation
works in the mine. The members of the Inspection Team appreciated the work
being done by Wonder Cement for the mine environment and mineral conservation.
