Mumbai: Divyaj Foundation and Mpower recently conducted a workshop for the parents and guardians of the 18 semi-finalists of the ‘Mitti Ke Sitare’, India’s first Music Reality Show for underprivileged kids. The workshop aimed at educating their family members about the immense singing talent their kid’s possess which needs to be nurtured and encouraged.

Family members present at the workshop were overwhelmed after witnessing the confidence their children have developed in themselves as well as in their singing.  The parents promised the Mpower team to support and motivate the singing career of their kids.

The 18 contestants have been undergoing several grooming sessions under the guidance of industry experts to prepare for their performance at Grand Finale. With a huge team of experts including Psychologist, methodology & trainers, Mpower makes an endeavour to affect change & promote mental health. The organisation has been conducting weekly workshops to equip these talented kids to deal with competition pressures and day-to-day stress.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Neerja Birla said, ‘"Mitti ke sitare has been an amazing journey so far. Mpower has worked with the 18 finalists to help them prepare for the finals on June 22nd. The children have had a great time during all the workshops on Handling Stage Fright, Body Language, Communication skills, Positive Attitude, Goal setting, Art beyond Competition, Sway the stress and Confidence Building & Body Language. We’ve also had the opportunity to conduct sessions with the parents of the 18 finalists on cognizant parenting.

There has been a significant change in the communication & body language of the finalists, over the last three months. Speaking up, becoming more confident and staying motivated have been some of the positive changes that we have noticed. It has been amazing to see the positive transformation the sessions gradually had on the children. Having good mental health is very important for children to live up to their potential. This ensures that the children live a life that is filled with positive experiences and the willingness to do what is best for themselves and the people around them.”
