MindBox & NASSCOM Announce the Winners of its Annual Design Championship 2017

Mumbai, 11th September 2017 – MindBox, a holistic creative education company completed its 7-city Design Championship. 2017 saw a stunning response with over 2300 entries from 270+ schools and 750+ online project submissions that met all criterion. This contest provided students a platform to develop skills like Design Thinking, Logic Development, problem-solving & decision-making, Critical Thinking, Experiential Learning, artistic literacy and Cognitive Thinking which were evaluated by leading industry experts.

The three-week series started with Madurai on 16th August and concluded its last leg in Mumbai on 7th September. 258 teams across 34 schools had registered for the event from Mumbai. Delhi saw an overwhelming response of 474 entries from 70 schools & Chennai had the highest number of registrations with 540 teams from 51 schools.

Students from all over India had registered and submitted their projects online under the specified categories and themes. A panel of 50+ industry experts formed the jury who shortlisted the best entries for the final round in each city. The shortlisted participants were evaluated on the basis of their final presentations and question-answer session before the winners were announced for each category in every city.

The Winning and Runner up Team of each category were rewarded with a Trophy & Certificate and all the registered participants were given a Certificate of participation. The most exciting part is that the winners of Game Design from each city will get a chance to present their game at NASSCOM GAME DEVELOPER CONFERENCE 2017 in Hyderabad from 9th to 11th November. The annual contest started in 2014 and has grown bigger each/this year The Technology Partners for Design Championship 2017 included Autodesk, Corel, SketchUp, Sumo Video Games, SEAGATE and Unity.
