Nisha’s brace in India Rush win

Mumbai, September 25: India Rush SC produced a solid spirited performance to overcome a fighting Kenkre FC by a close 3-2 margin an absorbing match of the pre-qualifying round (Maharashtra leg), of the IWL (Indian Women’s League), which is being played at the Cooperage ground on Monday.
Settling down quickly India Rush started in dominant fashion and created quite a number of chances from the start. They did not take too long to open the scoring when Nisha Singh found the back of the net in the seventh minute and doubled the lead with another fine strike four minutes later as India Rush went into the break with a healthy 2-0 cushion.
After switching ends, Deepika Singh increased India Rush lead scoring the third in the 46th minute. Despite trailing 0-3 Kenkre managed to put up a fight and managed to reduce th deficit with two late strikes through Zinnia Devi in the 56th minute and Dorothi Oreya in the 73rd minute.
Results – India Rush 3 (Nisha Singh 2, Deepika Singh) beat Kenkre FC 2 (Zinnia Devi, Dorothi Oreya).
