William Penn, presents ‘The India Pen Show’ on 2nd and 3rd February, from 10 am to 7 pm at the Nehru Centre, Mumbai. India’s first-ever fountain pens focused show will pay tribute to Kaifi Azmi Saheb, the renowned Urdu poet-lyricist and avid fountain pen enthusiast, on his birth centenary.

The show is an interesting combination of a trade fair, a hobby convention, a market place for pen lovers which promises to be a visual treat for collectors and connoisseurs. It will attract many celebrities and bring together writing aficionados and pen dealers from across the globe. Among the exciting events planned are: The TIPS 2019 are Calligraphy workshop to learn basic or advanced calligraphy, a kids section where parents can introduce kids to the art of fine writing with fountain pens, nib-tuning; ink booths, doodle workshop and much, much more. 

Other events include An ornamental calligraphy artist to style your name in a special font(memento); announcement of winners of various pre events; a lucky  draw prize for visitors, and a “Goodie Bag” for every participant with a minimal Entry fees of Rs. 200/-. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
