WIAA PRESENTS 100TH FOUNDATION DAY & ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Western India Automobile Association (WIAA) was established in 1919 and the First Meeting was held at the TAJ-Ball Room on that day. On 15th October 2019 (Tuesday) the 100th Foundation Day and the Annual General Meeting will be held t the same Ball Room of the TAJ Palace at 10 A.M.

WIAA is recognized under the Central & State Motor Vehicle Act and has been imparting SafeDriving to heavy vehicle drivers having Road Safety Institutes at Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Kutch.

WIAA is also authorized to issue driving licenses and International Driving Licenses.

World’s 1st Tech-Enabled Courier Papers N Parcels Launched by 13-year-old Tilak Mehta

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Every dabbawalla who doubles up as a courier boy, carries an Android phone loaded with the Papers N Parcels app to take orders for pick-up or delivery. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
