UNION BANK OF INDIA WINS TWO IBA AWARDS

Mumbai: Union Bank of India wins two Banking Technology Awards from Indian Bank’s Association (IBA): Best Financial Inclusion Initiatives (Winner) and Best Payment Initiatives (Runner).  Shri Rajkiran Rai G., Managing Director & CEO, Union Bank of India received the award from Shri R. Gandhi, Former Deputy Governor, RBI and Shri Ajay Sawhney, Secretary MeitY at the glittering award function organized by IBA at Mumbai.

IBA awards recognizes and rewards professionals and banks identifying themselves in the technology segment of Banking Industry – whose innovative ideas, initiative, risk leadership qualities, implementation of various initiatives have kept their organization ahead of their competitors by maintaining the competitive edge, opening up new revenue streams or by changing the competitive landscape.

World’s 1st Tech-Enabled Courier Papers N Parcels Launched by 13-year-old Tilak Mehta

Bringing together the power of technology with the world’s most efficient network of Mumbai d abbawalas , it was launched after a successful beta testing phase.  Papers N Parcels, the app-based courier service, has tied up with the Mumbai Dabbawalas to leverage the award-winning network of over 5000 dabbawalas  for door-to-door delivery and pick-up of packages within Mumbai City limits. Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London. The Mayor was joined at the finals day by Bollywood screen legend and the co-owner of Mumbai City football club, Ranbir Kapoor, as well as the Chairman of Queens Park Rangers, Tony Fernandes.
