World Breast Feeding Week : 1 st – 7 th August Breast feeding ‘A Mother’s Weapon for Health’ Mumbai 30 July 2014: The World Breast Feeding Week will be celebrated on 1 st – 7 th of August this year. The main focus is to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies around the world. According to statistics, out of 27 millions babies born in India each year, close to 1.2 million babies do not get past the first one month. This is due to poor neonatal care and malnutrition.
