RAMESHWARLAL KABRA CHAIRMAN RR GLOBAL HONOURED WITH PADMASHRI

Mr R L Kabra was born on 14 October 1933 in Sherpur town
of what is now Bangladesh. During the partition in 1947, he migrated to
Biratnagar, Nepal and then onwards to Mumbai via Indore in 1966.
From a humble beginning in Electrical trading in 1966,
under his astute leadership, RR GLOBAL – Ram Ratna Group has grown from
strength to strength and is now a medium sized conglomerate in Indian industry,
with interests in Cables, Winding Wires, Electrical appliances, Automated Car
parking systems and International trade. For the exemplary work and
contribution made by him in the field of Industry and Trade, the Government of
India has honored him with PADMASHRI.
From a young age of 22, he has also actively participated
and worked towards Social and National causes. Along the years he has
been actively associated with institutions like MAHESHWARI PRAGATI MANDAL -MUMBAI,
MAHARSHI VEDVYAS PRATISHTHAN, KESHAV SHRISTI, RAM RATNA VIDYA MANDIR & RAM
RATNA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL.
Has been very deeply associated with VANBANDHU PARISHAD,
relentlessly working for the UPLIFTMENT of the Tribals of India, in an effort
to bring them into the main stream of our Society. Was the National Vice President
since 1996, President since 2003 and is currently the Patron of VANBANDHU
PARISHAD. With the very unique concept of ONE TEACHER SCHOOL, the Parishad is
reaching out far and wide to the remote tribal interiors of India. ONE TEACHER
SCHOOL is the world’s largest NGO and works towards imparting primary
education, health care, ethics and value education and empowerment of the
largely ignored Tribals. Despite being 84 years, Mr R L Kabra still travels to
the tribal areas 15 days a month.
