Amway partners with Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai For its project “Empowering the Girl Child” Sponsors Self-defence training for  250 girl students of Municipal Schools Mumbai, 21st January 2014:  In order to combat the burning issue of harassment on women, Amway India joined hands with the Corporate Social Responsibility wing of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) in first of its kind project on “Empowering the Girl Child”. Under the ageis of this project MCGM announced its pilot project “Self-defence training for girls of Municipal schools” in Mumbai. The first phase of this project will begin in two municipal schools of Mumbai. Shetkari Sanghatana joins AAP The Shetkari Sanghatana (Farmer’s Organization) led by Shree Raghunathdada Patil (9422406188) has today joined Aam Aadmi Party.     They were welcomed by Mayank Gandhi (National Executive), Anjali Damania (State Convenor), and other members of the State Executive. Raghunathdada stated that farmers in Maharashtra were still struggling with the problems such as the fluctuations in price of crops particularly Sugarcane and cotton, inadequate irrigation facilities etc. So far none of the other political parties in the State has helped them resolve any of these basic issues.

IMC supports Uttarakhand  relief through the Standard Chartered  Mumbai Marathon 2014   Indian Merchants’ Chamber participated in the  Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon 2014  (SCMM 2014)  supporting the Uttarakhand relief work  through the  Indian Merchants’ Chamber Relief Fund.  There were a fair number of participants including IMC President- Shailesh Vaidya, Director General of IMC- Arvind Pradhan, IMC members, YLF members, employees, etc.   In the wake of the unprecedented devastation caused by flash-floods in a major portion of Uttarakhand, lives have been uprooted causing much grief to the common man.  IMC has undertaken relief work in the affected areas through itsrelief fund,  providing yeoman service to the unknown thousands who have suffered immensely due to this massive natural calamity.
