The launch of French
luxury grooming brand was attended by the glitterati of Bollywood and fashion
industry
Dessange Paris -The World’s No.1 Haute Coiffure brand with a
presence in 47 countries, celebrated the launch of their salons in
Bandra. Bollywood and style icon Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra graced
the occasion to mark the launch celebration of Dessange in India.
Also present
at the occasion were Benjamin Dessange, Chairman, Dessange International, Levan
Ramishvili, Director, Dessange Mumbai, Aseem Kaushik, Director, L’Oreal
Professionel, Actress Zarine Khan, model Nina Manuel and Carol Gracias.
Maintaining a long
standing partnership internationally, DESSANGE Paris has been a global
ambassador for L’Oréal Professionnel for many years. In line with the
pillars of the L’Oréal Professionnel brand, excellence, innovation and creativity
have allowed DESSANGE to expand on an international level. Speaking on the
occasion, Aseem Kaushik, Director L’Oreal Professionnel said, “We are ecstatic

The event also saw
style icons Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, alongside supermodels Nina Manuel
and Carol Gracias getting a makeover at the salons. Also present for the event
were international celebrity stylist Claudia Zorko and make-up artist
Christopher Picault.

Bardot, Diana Ross, Michelle Morgan, Nicole Kidman, Cindy Crawford, Kylie
Minogue, Scarlett Johansson, Eva Herzogova, Katy Perry, Rihanna. They came from
Paris for the occasion and had designed exclusive hair and make-up look for
each of the celebrities present.
Founded by legendary
hairstylist Jacques Dessange in Paris in 1954, Dessange Paris is today,
synonymous with luxury, elegance and style the world over. The brand is the
official partner for Cannes Film Festival (for over 25 years) in addition to
Marrakesh Film Festival, Roland Garros French Tennis Open and the US Tennis
Open. Dessange Paris is headed by the charismatic Benjamin Dessange who has
worked as a hairstylist himself.
At the launch, Benjamin
Dessange, CEO and Chairman of Dessange International said, “I am very pleased

The launch also saw the
unveiling of their Autumn/Winter ’13 collection “Paradis Lunaire” which is
characterized by deep and rich colours such as plums, purples and greys.
The hairstyle catalogue draws inspiration from the famous Louise Brooks
bob and Jean Seberg short cut to up the glamour quotient this season.
Claudia gave Alia an
updo with intricate detailing and elegance. The look was highly appreciated on
the fashionista who looked stylish as ever. Hair bun from new collection was
adopted specially for her, Alia said “Dessange Paris is a house of luxury
dedicated to women's beauty. Femininity, elegance and charm truly define the
world of Dessange Paris. I love the look that Claudia and Christopher have
designed for me. It is a high being styled by experts who have worked with some
of the most beautiful women in the world.”
Sidharth added, “The
experts and stylists at Dessange are amazing. I have never been this pampered
at a salon. It is very difficult to find this level of expertise in Mumbai.” Sidharth
was given styling in “Jude Law” spirit and casual make-up.
Carol Gracias was styled
in a very glamorous, chic and sensual way with the all-time classic
“coiffe-decoiffe” look and she wore the make- up look called “podium
icon”.
Nina Manuel’s hair was
done up in hair bun from the new collection “Oriental”. She looked absolutely
fashionable as the look was adopted to suit the Indian sensibility.
Both the Dessange Paris
salon and Spa’s are in sync with the global standards with state of the art
equipment and have virginal white walls contrasting with soft shades of
champagne, vast spaces, noble materials such as taffetas, hardwood and marble.
