Mumbai based restaurant Khandani Rajdhani, a flagship restaurant brand of Mirah Hospitality, on Friday opened their second outlet across the Hooghly river at the Avani Riverside Mall in West Bengal's Howrah town.


The vegetarian eatery got its first outlet in Kolkata at the Main Square mall in 2009. Percussionist Bickram Ghosh and his actresss wife Jaya Seal Ghosh lit the inaugural lamps for the opening the 2700-square feet, 95-seater restaurant.


According to officials, the wide range of Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisine comprising of 32 different items in a platter or Thali, will keep changing in every 7 days with items like Farshan, Dal Bati, Churma, Dahi Wada, Paneer, Mirchi Wada, etc., accompanied by Salad, Papad, Papad Churi, Guvar Fali, Sweet Chutney, Green Chutney, Pickle, Bharela Mircha and Lasuni Chutney.

The people with sweet tooth would be able to taste dishes like Sitaphal Basundi, Akhrot Halwa, Malpua Rabdi for desserts.
Vice President of F&B Division, Mirah Hospitality, Aji Nair said, Culinary art is a passion at Khandani Rajdhani. The food here is delicious and one can see the passion for cooking in it for decades.

To spice up the winter, Khandani Rajdhani is organising Hemat-e-Rutu food festival. As winter is the right season for the gastronomes to savour the finest of delicacies.

The highlights include the ever popular Undiyu, Bajri Rolta, Haldi ki subzi, Sarso ka saag, Gajar halwa and more. Rajdhani’s signature Undhiyu is a combination of sweet, sour and spicy tastes subtly blended wth farm fresh vegetables like green garlic, tuver lilva, surti papadi and sweet potato

Aji Nair, VP, F&B Divisionn, Mirah Hospitalty, said: “This is one of the most exciting times at Rajdhani that our patrons eargly wait for. Guest have relished our winter delicacies over all these years and t is indeed a pleasure to introduce the festival again. We will be serving traditional Marwari and Gujarati dishes with ingredients that all of our units will be preparng these dishes on a rotational basis so that there is something new served each day throughout this month-long festival.” The festival will conclude on January 10, 2015.
