India and the World: The Changing Narrative A Film Festival

Anuraadha is a Mumbai based Writer – Director, working prolifically
for the last 21 years in the Entertainment Industry. Best known for the story and screenplay of the award winning ‘Fashion’, ‘Jail’ and ‘Heroine’, all
3 directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, Anuraadha has also created and written 25 TV
Shows in her multi faceted career apart from being the Content Head of Channel
V, Crest Communication and Anupam Kher’s Media Entertainment Co. at the
beginning of her career.
In Jan 2017, she founded The
Write Place, a Writer’s Room – the first of its kind in India, that became
the Central Writing Team (with 16 writers) for Saavdhan India on Life Ok.
The Co. is now currently in advanced stages of development for several
prestigious projects including Feature Films, Web Series and TV shows.
Honored to be Curating the very first Edition of the Film Festival
under ‘India and the World’ an exhibition being hosted by the Prince of Wales
Museum, Anuraadha sees this as a natural extension of her passion for Cinema
and finds great pride in showcasing New Voices in Hindi Cinema that she is
herself a part of. As someone who interacts with Global Cinematic Minds,
Anuraadha has curated this Festival as a small, intimate affair where a cinema
lover gets a chance to interact with creative voices of the Industry and engage
in passionate conversations. As a very first, each Film will be introduced by
and seen through the eyes of one of its technicians and each screening will be
followed by a discussion that goes beyond the normal Q n A. A virtual Film
Appreciation Class for the general public is how she views the Festival.
Post this, she will be involved with a Sports Film as well as a
Biopic as a Writer and is set to Debut as a Writer - Director with her Feature Film by the end of 2018.
