GRAND FINAL
The Max Fashion Icon Hunt in association with Cosmopolitan culminated
in the Grand Finale party hosted by Cosmopolitan at the Maurya Sheraton on
Thursday night – 6th March 2014.
The
hour long show, choreographed by top fashion choreographer Aparna Bahl, had the
15 finalists from Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore walk the ramp in three
rounds—swimwear, tribal ethnic, and casual chic.
The jury adjudged them on the
basis of their confidence, uniqueness, and editorial value. Percussionists
playing live music during the fashion show added to the electric atmosphere.
The
jury consisted of Kalki Koechlin
(Bollywood star), Vasanth Kumar (MD, Max Fashions), Nandini Bhalla (Editor,
Cosmopolitan), Jatin Kampani (fashion photographer), Aparna Bahl (fashion
choreographer), Shivan & Narresh (resortwear designers), and Gaurav Gupta
(fashion designer).
There
was a surprise in store for guests as internationally renowned stand up comic,
Papa CJ, took the stage between rounds to have the audience in splits with his
quick wit and hilarious monologues.
Hostess
with the mostess, Shibani Dandekar, also announced the launch of Max Fashions
coffee table book, which has beautiful campaigns of the new collection shot in
Cape Town, and the season’s hottest trends curated by the Max team.
Once
the scores were tabulated, Shibani invited the jury to announce the results and
give away the top awards to the winners.
The
after party saw the guests enjoying yummy cocktails, delectable snacks, and ‘Nu
Disco’ tunes belted out by DJ-extraordinaire Aftab Mehra.

Max
Fashions and Cosmopolitan were on the hunt to find the country’s top models
across three cities—Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi, who would be the faces for
Max Fashions 2014 campaign shot by Jatin Kampani, and would star in fashion
editorials in Harper’s Bazaar, Women’s Health, and Cosmopolitan, among a host
of other goodies and prizes!
An
exclusive jury traveled to each city, held auditions, and selected finalists to
be part of the Grand Finale. The jury included Kalki Koechlin, Bollywood style
star, Vasanth Kumar, MD, Max Fashions, Nandini Bhalla, Editor, Cosmopolitan,
Jatin Kampani, ace fashion photographer, Aparna Bahl, fashion choreographer,
designers Gaurav Gupta, Malini Ramani, Shivan & Narresh, Nishka Lulla, and
Nachiket Barve, and models, Nidhi Sunil, Preeti Dhata, and Pallavi Das.
