Vedanta Foundation and ICAI 
join hands to provide 
Chartered Accountant coaching 
in Maharashtra


Mumbai : Vedanta foundation, a multifaceted philanthropic initiative of London listed world’s most dynamic business group Vedanta Resources Plc and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI) has started a Chartered Accountant (CPT) coaching center at Vedanta College of management and Information Technology, Vithalwadi Station Road, Vithalwadi (w), Ulhasnagar-3 with one existing center in Kolkata.



The coaching center was inaugurated by CA. Kamlesh Saboo, Sectary, WIRC of ICAI in the presence of Dr. Lona Nayak, CEO Vedanta foundation, Dr. Milind Vaidya,principal- VCMIT and Mrs. Suman Gupta, CFO, Vedanta Foundation for economically underprivileged aspirants who passed HSC examinations with minimum 60% marks.

Vedanta Foundation, the fully funded charitable trust of Vedanta Resources Plc with a heart for social development for the underprivileged population in the country will organize free coaching classes five days a week for duration of three months to render assistance to the underprivileged who wish to pursue CA but cannot afford it due to expensive coaching fees of commercial classes.

CA. Kamlesh Saboo, Sectary, Western India Regional Council of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India said “Pass ratio is between 2% -10% in The Chartered accountancy Examination and India needs many socially conscious professionals for our growing MSME industry and we are very happy to partnered with Vedanta foundation”.
Mr. D.P. Agarwal, Founder Trustee, Vedanta foundation -said “The Foundation is committed to bring social changes through various activities for the people in India and I am very happy to start this course to provide foundation to economically backward talented students.

Besides providing basic infrastructure for learning, the students will also be provided required study materials.  These students in turn will imbibe the ethos and the values that will be inculcated into them and will carry out into their profession in particular and in social life at large. Vedanta Foundation through this program envisions generating a large class of Chartered Accountants who will not have only the academic knowledge of the profession but will also have a social orientation.
