Union Bank of India rejects claim of Mobile App “UMobile” being vulnerable to Android Malware

Mumbai: Union Bank of India, one of the largest Public Sector Bank in India, responding to a news report, appeared in media on “Android Malware Targets 232 Banking Apps, including Indian Banks” has said that the news does not pertain to Union Bank of India. Union Bank has confirmed that Bank’s UMobile app is fully safe and secure. Bank said that the referred apps “Union Bank Mobile Banking and Union Bank Commercial Clients” are not Bank’s mobile apps. Bank has already taken all security measures as per guidelines.


Union bank of India has also confirmed that Bank time to time educates customers for secure use of mobile apps through SMS, emails, leaflets and social media. Customers can also find the security measures by visiting Bank’s official website www.unionbankofindia.co.in .
