Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) presents ‘Fun, Food Lifestyle’ a landmark consumer-oriented, event at ITC Maratha, Luxury Hotel, Sahar on 27th June, 2014. The event “Fun, Food Lifestyle” is designed to provide a platform to learn more about the wonder cooking oil, Malaysian Palm Oil (MPO) in a fun-filled afternoon through interaction with celebrities from sports and Bollywood.

 “Fun, Food Lifestyle”, by MPOC combines fun and cooking after its trade seminar, the Malaysia Palm Oil Trade Fair and Seminar (POTS). The event will see the glamorous Huma Qureshi and former India speedster Irfan Pathan pitting their culinary skills against each other to demonstrate mouth-watering recipes cooked in palm oil, along with master chef Vijay Malhotra of ITC Maratha.

The program will continue with enthralling entertainment and demonstration of how Malaysian palm oil can be used creatively in routine and special dishes by Chef Vijay Malhotra of ITC Maratha. This will help to improve the understanding of palm oil, its applications and its benefits.

MPOC is hosting the “Fun Food Lifestyle” event for the benefit of consumers, to impart information on palm oil’s benefits, dispel myths that they may have heard of and to have some fun at the same time.
The importance that Malaysia places on its trade and people-to-people relations with India, is emphasised by the fact that the Hon Y.B. Dato Sri Douglas Uggah Embas, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities of the Government of Malaysia, will grace this consumer event..

Its principal objective is to create awareness about Palm Oil, especially Malaysian Palm Oil, though MPOC does not get involved in the actual trading of palm oil or any other commodity. Although Malaysia established diplomatic ties with India in 1957, its year of independence from our common colonial masters, MPOC has been present in India since the early 1990s. Previously based in N.Delhi, it shifted its office to Mumbai in 2004.
