Mumbai, March 25th 2015: Mr. Akhil Shahani, Director of Shahani Group and Thadomal Shahani Centre for Management (TSCFM), and a leading name in the educational sector, was awarded with the Gold Karmaveer Chakra with REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship 2014-2015. Mr. Akhil Shahani was one of few selected educationists and the only Educational Entrepreneur to be awarded in this category.
Rex Karmaveer Global Fellowship (RKGF) is a platform to recognize people who have the courage of conviction to think differently to act on innovative ideas which may make a difference in our world. The REX fellowships helps world-changing innovators from around the globe become part of the REX community and, with its help, amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities.
Mr. Shahani’s vision to modify and form an education system that will be available to all has made him one of the leading educationists in the country. His work in the field of education with regard to the way education in India in the future should be shaped was one of the key reason for him to be awarded.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Akhil Shahani, Director of Shahani Group and TSCFM, expressed, “The international confederation of NGOs (ICONGO) supports the change makers who are building the future of India. This is aligned to the mission of the Shahani Group which educates India';s future leaders by building their characters and ability to contribute to the world. Hence, receiving one of ICONGO';s highest awards for the contribution we have made to education is indeed a great honour for me!”
REX Karmaveer is designed to leverage the REX Community';s exceptional array of talent and resources. It is awarded annually to an outstanding human being who receives the trophy, citation and, much more important, the granting of "One Dream to Change the World."
