‘Getting to Zero’ – fighting discrimination on World AIDS Day
by Shrutee K/DNS 30 th November 2015, Mumbai : Calling for an end to discrimination against HIV/AIDS patients, the Association of Hospitals (AOH) one of Mumbai’s oldest and trusted healthcare associations commented on the occasion of ‘World AIDS Day’. Globally acknowledged as World AIDS Day, 1 st December is dedicated to creating awareness about one of the most dreadful diseases in human history. World AIDS Day is important because it reminds the public and Government that HIV and AIDS have not gone away – there is still a vital need to reduce intolerance, increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education.
