Mumbai: November 5, 2015: Zicom Electronics Security Systems, Rs

flagship product ZIMAN, free
of cost which will act as their personal bodyguard at all times. Present at the
occasion were, Javed Ahmed, MUMBAI POLICE
COMMISSIONER, Gurbir Singh, the CHAIRMAN of the Mumbai Press Club and Pramoud
Rao, MANAGING DIRECTOR, Zicom Electronics Security Systems.
Speaking on the
occasion, Pramoud Rao, managing director
of Zicom Electronics Security Systems explains that the job of a journalist
is really commendable who accepts great risk to unravel the truth and get the
story in front of the people. “For doing that
even a woman journalist needs to travel at odd hours and go to unsafe places to
cover a story which puts her life at risk. There have been several unfortunate
incidents of attacks on in the recent past,” Rao explains. According to
Rao, Zicom takes it as their personal duty to provide security to these brave
hearts who undertake such grave risk for the people. “ZIMAN acts as a personal
body guard for the user. Whenever there is a risk, all the journalist needs to
do is trigger the alert installed in her mobile phone and our response team
gets in action,” Rao says. Explaining the
concept, Rao informs that when the trigger is activated, the mobile phone
starts sending pictures and videos to the Zicom Command Centre which is
immediately analysed. “Not only do we alert the family, but we even contact the
authorities and the emergency services if needed,” he adds.
Javed Ahmed, Mumbai Police Commissioner informed that this is a great initiative involving a private company. “On several occasions, even if we catch the culprits, there is no proof against them. With ZIMAN, pictures and videos of the attack taking place are immediately captured. Not only can the attack be prevented but immediate action can also be taken,” He adds. Gurbir Singh, the chairman of the Mumbai Press Club informed that this is a move in the right direction. “Journalists
in the line of duty have to constantly face attacks and the security of the
woman journalists is a prime concern. We are happy that Zicom has taken this
initiative. We are confident that with this initiative, attacks would certainly
come down,” he says.
