Kiara Advani Announces the 1st Edition of Skechers Performance Mumbai Walkathon

Mumbai: Skechers, An American performance and
lifestyle footwear brand brings in the first edition of Skechers Performance
Mumbai Walkathon. The announcement was made in the presence of Bollywood celebrity
Kiara Advani, who has won hearts around the nation by her performances on
screen, appealing to the masses to come, join the Walkathon, and walk of
fitness.
The walkathon initiated/organised by
Skechers India, will be taking place on 7th October 2018 i.e. the ‘World Walking Day’ in the new
financial hub of Maximum city – MMRDA Grounds , Bandra Kurla Complex. The
motive behind initiating the walkathon is to educate people about the benefits
of walking. The walkathon consists
of a 3-7 KM stretch open for all age groups. To be executed in October, thousands
of participants to walk through the new financial hub of Maximum city – Bandra
Kurla Complex. While announcing the very 1st edition
of Skechers Performance Mumbai Walkathon, Rahul
Vira, Chief Executive Office, Skechers South Asia Pvt. Ltd. said, “Our
dedication has always been to the enthusiasts of all levels, ranging from
beginners in the sport to the elite athletes. Walking one mile a day can burn
upto 100 calories. Something as simple as a daily brisk walk can help you live
a healthier life. By bringing in a wide range of walking shoes we want to
inspire people and invoke the need to be on the move and stay fit, through
which people would experience walking from a different perspective altogether.”
Present at the announcement, Kiara Advani who was delighted to be
associated with Skechers Mumbai Walkathon shared her thoughts, “I make it a
point to stay as active as possible on my feet. My comfortable sneakers are all
I need. On days when my schedule is too hectic for me to make it to the gym, I
make sure to take out at least half an hour and go for a walk. It can uplift
your mood and make your day. I would want to encourage everyone to make walking
