Virtusa organizes National Level Hackathon and Academia Connect Program in Chennai

These initiatives aim to engage and train students and faculty members on new age technologies
Chennai, 22nd November 2018: Virtusa Corporation (NASDAQ GS: VRTU), a global provider of digital strategy, digital engineering, and IT outsourcing services, organized The National Level Hackathon on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning – ‘NeuralHack’ and the fourth edition of Engineering Academia Connect program, ‘HeadStart 2018’ in Chennai.
The main objective of the event was to facilitate the NeuralHack winners who were short listed through multiple rounds during the competition. Along with this, the event also helped bolster the academia connect program and facilitate the academic officers from diverse engineering colleges across India. The winners of NeuralHack were given a dream package of 5 Lacs per annum and a chance to work with industry stalwarts at Virtusa Corp. This one of-its-kind hackathon continues to skill students in technologies like Data Science, Cloud, CRM, Artificial Intelligence and IOT at the college level thus equipping them for their professional lives.

HeadStart 2018, is an event where campus academic officers and Virtusa come together under one roof to create a synergized environment to unknot the elaborate needs of the industry, highlighting opportunities and challenges from the academia.
