GoAir uplifts emergency medical supplies and delivers to Pune



India: GoAir, India’s fastest-growing airline, extended full support to the Ministry of Civil Aviation for the transport of emergency medicines free of cost from Delhi to Pune, supporting the emergency medical relief initiative in the flood-affected districts of Maharashtra. 461 boxes of relief material – emergency medical supplies – weighing 5 tons were flown from Delhi to Pune from 12 September 2019 to 15 September 2019. Total of 5 flights were operated to uplift the relief material in as many days.

Mr. Jeh Wadia, Managing Director, GoAir, said: “Like always, GoAir responded to the clarion call of humanity, charity and corporate social responsibility. We uplifted and delivered medicines free of cost to the affected areas in Maharashtra in coordination with the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Earlier GoAir had uplifted relief material and delivered to FANI affected Odisha and prior to that for the flash floods in Kerala, Jammu & Kashmir et al. I assure you that whenever the need arises, you will find GoAir in the forefront, lending a helping hand naturally."

GoAir currently operates more than 320 daily flights and has flown around 13.26 lakh passengers in the month of July 2019 alone. GoAir flies to 24 domestic destinations including Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Kannur, Leh, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Ranchi and Srinagar. Goair flies to 7 international destinations, including Bangkok, Phuket, Malé, Muscat, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait.
