Mumbai power couple Sachin and Sangeeta Ahir grace the green carpet at 2019 IIFA Awards

Mumbai, September, 2019: With the sun setting over Mumbai’s iconic skyline, leading Bollywood producer and fashionista Sangeeta Ahir made a striking appearance at the 20th edition of the IIFA Awards, held in India for the first time. Accompanied by her husband, political bigwig Sachin Ahir, Mumbai’s foremost power couple set heads turning as they celebrated the journey of Indian cinema alongside the biggest names in Bollywood.

In the midst of this star-studded evening, Sangeeta Ahir set the iconic green carpet on fire with a stunning ensemble. Draped in an intricately embroidered creme saree by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, the result combined the best aspects of traditional fashion with the subtlest touch of modern styling. She paired this with a gold choker and earring set, and an off-white silk clutch with a flower motif. Alongside her, Sachin Ahir kept things simple with a timeless navy blazer. Over the course of the event, the elegant duo were spotted chatting and mingling with the industry’s best and brightest. An evening to remember indeed!

Mayor praises the footballing talent of Mumbai as he announces young stars will travel to London

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, announced the names of the successful youngsters on the first day of his trade mission to India. Sadiq was attending the ninth annual finals day of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge and watched a challenge match to win the inaugural Mayor of London Cup. He confirmed that, for the first time in the scheme’s nine-year history, two girls as well as two boys will be heading to London.
