Hundreds of Mumbaikars throng the footpaths of Sion and make 'Walk This Way' a
success
Hundreds thronged
the skywalk and footpaths outside Sion Station on Monday, 6th May, to sensitize
pedestrians regarding the importance of Road Safety.
The day marked the
beginning of the Road Safety Week, an initiative by the SafeKids Foundation in
association with the UN General Assembly. Volunteers aged between 4 - 75 years
were heard chanting slogans and urging the pedestrian to use the footpath and
the skywalk.
The initiative also
got a rousing response from the Mumbai Traffic Police who stood along side
the aam janta and helped increase the visibility of the placards.
